Bernard Meisler graduated from Brown University with a BS degree in Neuroscience. He began working as a multimedia developer in 1996, creating CD-ROMs for MOMA, the Rubin Museum and the FIT Library, as well as web sites for Tiffany’s and Songlines Gallery (Yahoo’s site of the week, Sept. 1998). In 1999, he founded East Village Interactive, which created rich media web sites and CD-ROMs for such clients such as Price-Waterhouse, Roche Pharmaceutical and Sony Music. More recently, he worked as a senior web developer/tech lead at MTV Networks, where he won a Broadcast Design Award for programming the Downward Doghouse Magic Lantern game for nickjr.com. He taught multimedia development and web programming courses at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies from 1997 to 2006, and also taught in the Masters of New Media program at the New School from 2001-2003. In 2007, he moved from NYC to the Bay Area to become the Technology Strategist for Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners. He left BSSP in 2008 to form Burnbridge, LLC, a software development company and is currently teaching Interactive Programming and User Experience at the Art Institute of California, SF as well as developing casual Flash games for AddictingGames.
